I started training Sting in 2006 and toured with him on the Police Tour; Sting got in touch for Pilates training which started in London and continued where he was based over several years. I interviewed Sting backstage during his last London gig before Covid; we talked health, got deep into his thought process, and the value of feeling fit, strong and in great shape for him as a musician. Sting is exemplary in the way he has managed to keep in shape throughout the years. With my help and since then his work with wonderful yoga teachers, he still looks in great shape at 70 years old! In fact, he suggested the name ‘Body by Lara’ to me. After a swim in his pool in Tuscany, he came out showing off his physique and jokingly said, “body by Lara I think you should use this one day. This is where the name body by lara came from. I will be sharing with you the interview throughout the coming months, and secrets about sting’s fitness regime.
